Through Designs by Janvi, my art reflects a deep connection to the world of dogs, particularly Weimaraners and German shorthaired pointers. Their loyalty and grace serve as the cornerstone of my work. Each piece I create is designed to highlight the unique bond between dogs and their humans, using vibrant colors and intricate detailing to bring their personalities to life.

Having been born in Mumbai and later making Nashville my home, I merge the rich patterns and designs of my Indian heritage with modern artistic expressions. This blending of cultures gives my art a distinct style, aiming to create an emotional connection with viewers who cherish the relationships we share with animals.

From Mumbai to Nashville: A Story of Art, Animals, and Heritage

Janvi Shivdasani is a passionate artist and designer specializing in Weimaraner and German shorthaired pointer-themed sculptures and mixed media pieces. Born in Mumbai, India, Janvi has called Nashville home for over a decade. She combines her background as an industrial designer and product developer with her love for animals to create unique, detailed works that reflect her deep connection to the animals she rescues. Her artistic style is also heavily influenced by henna designs, a craft she practiced in a past life, which adds intricate patterns and flowing forms to her work.

Blending Art and Advocacy: Where Janvi’s Passion for Pets Shines

Janvi’s art spans various mediums, including polymer clay sculptures, digital drawings, Melamine plates, and other mixed media art. Her work has been featured in galleries, publications, and charity events, as well as displayed multiple times at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library and the Gardens of Cheekwood. Her designs often showcase animals in playful and emotive forms, capturing the spirit of the pets she loves.

Janvi is also an active foster mom for cats and dogs, volunteering with local rescues such as Fluff, and regularly contributes her art to fundraisers supporting animal welfare. Her work is displayed at both art shows and charitable events, where she merges her passion for art and advocacy.
